Hello 3elwa,
The behavior may be consistent with coil whine, but the timing alone does not confirm that Windows 11 26H2 caused it.
To help separate a Windows-related change from a hardware characteristic, could you restart the laptop, enter the BIOS, and check whether the same buzzing can be heard there while the charger is connected? If it is also present in the BIOS, the sound is likely independent of Windows.
Please also check Settings > Windows Update > Update history and share the exact update or KB number installed before the sound appeared. Updating the BIOS, firmware, and chipset drivers from the ASUS support page for the exact M1405 model would also be worth checking.
If the noise becomes audible at a normal seated distance, grows noticeably louder over time, or is accompanied by unusual heat or instability, I recommend having ASUS Support examine the device rather than assuming it is harmless. Thank you so much for your understanding.
