    Hello Jennie,

Thank you for posting your question on the Microsoft Windows Forum!

I'm sorry to hear about the experience you've had. If you have a Surface for Business device with an active extended warranty, and the Engage Center is not working, the Microsoft Q&A forum unfortunately cannot create or manage hardware replacement requests directly.

Step 1: Verify the Warranty Status

Please sign in and check the device warranty here:

    https://account.microsoft.com/devices

If the device appears in your account, select the device and choose:

    Service & Repair

to create a replacement or repair request.

Step 2: Submit a Service Order Online

    Create a support ticket under:

    https://support.microsoft.com/home/contact

    https://support.microsoft.com/contactus#!User's image

Search for the Surface-related issue, ignore the suggested prompt response, and select "Ask Our Support Assistant" instead.

    Choose your preferred contact method:

A Microsoft Support Engineer will follow up with you to provide further assistance with your Surface product or related service request.

    My Recommendation

Given that this is a business warranty and hardware replacement issue, I would not spend more time troubleshooting the device itself until you can reach the appropriate support channel. The priority is getting the warranty case created and the replacement process started.
