Try these steps in order for a Windows 11 update that is stuck for days:

    1. Restart the PC Restarting can clear apps or services blocking the update.
    2. Run the Windows Update troubleshooter
      • Select Start > Settings > System.
      • Select Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters.
      • Find Windows Update and select Run.
      • Complete the on-screen steps.
    3. Check internet connection
      • Select Start > Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi.
      • Confirm the device is connected. Reconnect to Wi-Fi or Ethernet if needed.
    4. Check free disk space Windows needs at least:
      • 16 GB free for a 32-bit OS
      • 20 GB free for a 64-bit OS
    5. Try checking for updates again If Windows Update is stuck between 51% and 99%, try checking again after the restart and storage/network checks.
    6. If the Settings page appears frozen while scanning Close Settings, reopen it, then open Services.msc and verify these services are running:
      • Update State Orchestrator
      • Windows Update
    7. If the update is stuck at 0% or 100% Use the same core checks:
      • Restart the PC
      • Verify internet connectivity
      • Verify enough disk space
    8. For deeper investigation Advanced users can review the Windows Update log.
