Managing sound and video settings during Teams meetings and calls for optimal communication
Hello Diana,
This issue may be caused by several reasons:
- Teams has not been granted microphone access.
- There is a connection problem between Teams and the device.
- You may have accidentally enabled the mute feature.
First, try a different headset if possible and let me know if the issue persists. Please also check the following:
- Teams Audio Settings Go to Settings > Devices, select the correct microphone, and make a test call.
- Windows Microphone Permissions Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Microphone and ensure microphone access is enabled for Teams.
- Mute Check Make sure you’re not muted in the meeting and that your headset’s physical mute switch is off.
- Windows Sound Settings Go to Settings > System > Sound > Input and confirm the correct microphone is selected and responding.
- Test Teams Web Try joining a meeting at https://teams.cloud.microsoft/
- Test in Other Apps Please check whether the microphone works in another application.
Having this information will greatly assist me in troubleshooting the issue further.
