When I try to copy/paste data from an email into an excel spreadsheet I can normally choose the format. I don’t have the same choice on an iPad. I need the data to split into lines rather than columns.

    Hello,

    Excel on iPad has fewer paste options than the desktop version.

    If your data is pasted across columns, you can use the TRANSPOSE function to turn it into rows.

    Paste your data into Excel.

    Select an empty cell.

    Enter =TRANSPOSE(A1:C1) and press Enter.

    Replace A1 with the range containing your data.

    However, if everything is pasted into one cell, the solution is different.

    Can you clarify whether your data appears in one cell or spreads across multiple columns when you paste it?
