Try a different website and a different browser (Edge and Chrome). If only one browser fails, clear its cache or disable extensions.
Check whether other devices on the same Wi-Fi can load sites. If they can’t either, the problem is your router or ISP. Restart the router (unplug for 30 seconds) and check with your provider.
Toggle Airplane mode on and off, then restart the Surface.
Right-click Start → Terminal (Admin) or Command Prompt (Admin), then run these one at a time:
ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
netsh winsock reset
netsh int ip reset
Reboot
Device Manager → Network adapters → Marvell AVASTAR Wireless-AC (or similar) → right-click → Update driver.
Also run Windows Update, since Surface firmware and driver updates come through there.
If that doesn’t help, right-click the adapter → Uninstall device, then restart so Windows reinstalls it.
Settings → Network & internet → Wi-Fi → your network → Hardware properties → DNS server assignment → Edit → Manual → turn on IPv4
Preferred DNS: 8.8.8.8, Alternate: 8.8.4.4 (Google), or 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1 (Cloudflare)
Settings → Network & internet → Advanced network settings → Network reset. This removes saved Wi-Fi networks, so you’ll need to re-enter passwords.
