I used to renew my subscription using a voucher/product key. I tried adding my credit card as a new payment method but kept getting an error message asking me to check my card details. I tried 3 different cards but still got the same issue. Any idea why ?
My MS account was created in HK, Previous renewals using voucher/product key were also in HK. Now physically in Australia but the card(s) I used to add to the payment method are all valid/current HK credit cards.

Subscriptions are region-specific. Since you are in a different region, you may have to contact Microsoft support regarding your account and billing. Go to https://support.microsoft.com/contactus .

You can start a new subscription, but there is a risk that you will be charged twice. It would be safer to try and fix the existing account.
