I'd suggest allowing 24–48 hours to give them time to update you. Their support might send the result to the alternate email address you provided. Just make sure you check your inbox and spam/junk folder for the response.
My Microsoft account got deleted and it is no longer recognized, the only issue I want to fix is logging into my Minecraft account.
My Microsoft account has been deleted and my Minecraft username has been linked to an email ending with @kidnap.life.
Yesterday I was on call with my friends hoping to play Minecraft PVP together, I have tried Hypixel but the server was incredibly laggy, so I tried finding servers via Google hoping to play with my friends. Google suggested a server called "lunarclient.net", I inputted that into the IP server and it brought me to a page asking for a verification code. I was a little skeptical but I was desperate to play with my friends. The email I had receive was from "******@accountprotection.microsoft.com".
This morning, I tried to log into my Minecraft with Prism Launcher and it just said "An error occurred while refreshing ___. Do you want to reauthenticate this account?". I tried logging into my original email where I bought Minecraft and it just said that this account does not have a Microsoft account.
I do own the responsibility for this consequence as Minecraft has given warnings about Third Party servers, but I still wish to recover my account.

2026-10-10T19:04:23.6266667+00:00 Hi! Sorry if the above didn't work for you. If you have followed the hacked account guide correctly, you should then see this form https://aka.ms/recovermyaccount you should get an email response within 4 hours the latest after filling it out. The team on the other end will help work through the issue with you.
Just to clarify, I'm a fellow Microsoft Community member, not a Microsoft employee, so I don't have access to your account or the ability to recover it directly. I can only point you toward the official recovery options and share steps that may help.
Note: The form is hosted on the Xbox support site but is available to all Microsoft account holders not just those who use Xbox.
I hope you're able to recover your account and get back to playing Minecraft soon. -

2026-10-10T05:17:04.0466667+00:00 Hi there! Sorry to hear about what happened. Based on what you've described, it sounds like you may have entered a Microsoft verification code on a phishing site, allowing someone to take over your account and change its associated information such as deleting it.
Please start with Microsoft's hacked account recovery guide. If your account was closed or deleted, recovery may depend on its current status, so follow the instructions provided by Microsoft page.
Once you've recovered access, secure your account and review its recent sign-in activity.
For the future, never enter your Microsoft verification code on an unfamiliar server or website, click suspicious links, or share an OTP with anyone. I hope the Microsoft guide for hacked account helps you recover it!
