An Azure platform as a service offer that is used to deploy web and cloud applications.
Thanks for the update. From what you’ve described, it sounds like you’ve successfully deleted the Default Directory that you wanted to remove while leaving your Student Ambassador tenant intact.
The fact that Azure allowed the tenant deletion to complete is a good sign. Microsoft states that a tenant cannot be deleted until it passes its required deletion checks, including checks for associated subscriptions and other resources. [learn.microsoft.com]
Microsoft also confirms that deleting a Microsoft Entra tenant deletes the resources within that organization. [learn.microsoft.com]
Since you also confirmed that there was no active Azure subscription, I don’t see anything in what you’ve described that suggests you now need to delete your personal Microsoft account or your Student Ambassador tenant.
For peace of mind I suggest you check Subscriptions and Cost Management + Billing once more and confirm that nothing appears relating to the deleted directory.
Microsoft’s documentation is here:
Delete a Microsoft Entra tenant
Cancel and delete your Azure subscription
I am glad you managed to get the unwanted directory removed.
