A family of Microsoft word processing software products for creating web, email, and print documents.
Hello Ioannis Apostolakis,
Sorry the spelling and grammar check isn't showing up for you. I'm not totally sure which part is missing, so a couple of quick questions would help:
- Do Greek words get no red underlines at all, or is it only the grammar and Editor suggestions that are missing?
- Is this desktop Word or Word for the web, and is it a personal or work/school account?
One thing worth knowing: as far as I can tell from Microsoft's Editor language table, Greek is listed with spell check only, and grammar check and writing refinements don't seem to be available for it. If that's what's missing, it may simply not be supported for Greek: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/word/editor-s-spelling-grammar-and-refinement-availability-by-language
If Greek spelling isn't being checked either, these are worth a try:
- Go to Review > Language > Language preferences, add Greek and tick Get proofing tools. "Proofing installed" should show next to it: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/word/set-up-or-change-the-languages-used-to-check-spelling-and-grammar
- Select your text, go to Review > Language > Set Proofing Language, choose Greek and make sure Do not check spelling or grammar is cleared: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/word/troubleshoot-checking-spelling-and-grammar-in-multiple-languages
- Add the Greek keyboard in Windows, since Word's proofing language follows the keyboard language.
- If Greek proofing isn't installed, install the Greek language pack, which includes the proofing tools. If your work or school installed Office, IT may need to do this: https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/office/languages/install-the-greek-language-pack-for-64-bit-office
