A unified Azure platform for creating and managing AI models, agents, and applications with built‑in enterprise security, monitoring, and governance
I wanted to thank everyone for the support and suggestions — I was finally able to remove the Azure AI Foundry resource.
The issue was caused by an orphaned managed compute deployment that wasn’t visible anywhere in the portal. I found it by going to the Automation → Export template blade in the resource group, where the ARM template listed the hidden deployment that was blocking deletion.
Once I had the deployment name, I removed it using the Azure CLI:
Code
az cognitiveservices account managed-compute-deployment delete \
--name <foundry-account-name> \
--resource-group <resource-group-name> \
--deployment-name <orphaned-deployment-name>
After deleting the orphaned deployment, I was able to delete the AI Foundry resource and the resource group successfully.
Note: The command group cognitiveservices account managed-compute-deployment is currently in preview and under development.
