Copilot in Dynamics 365 Sales fails to load in our Sandbox (PREPROD) environment. The Copilot pane opens but displays "Unfortunately, there was an error. Please try again later."
image Browser developer tools show that the request:

POST /powervirtualagents/dataverse-backed/authenticated/bots/msdyn_salesCopilot/conversations

returns:

HTTP 404 Not Found

x-servicefabric: ResourceNotFound

The issue occurs only in the PREPROD environment. Copilot works correctly in both our DEV and PROD environments.

All Copilot and Agent-related features available in Dynamics 365 have been enabled in PREPROD and the environment configuration has been reviewed, but the issue persists.

Has anyone encountered a similar problem or knows how to verify whether the underlying msdyn_salesCopilot bot has been provisioned correctly in the environment?

    Hello MagdaM ,
Based on the 404 ResourceNotFound, this looks more like an environment-specific provisioning issue than a normal Copilot configuration or permission problem. Since the same functionality works in DEV and PROD, PREPROD may be missing or have an unhealthy backend registration for msdyn_salesCopilot. Microsoft documents that Copilot access is controlled at the environment, Entra group, and Sales-app levels, so those settings are still worth comparing across the three environments.
