Whichever medium (Copilot or remote tech support). With Copilot several hours during the last Three Days, this AI is Stupid, as for remote tech support, out of 2 sessions today, neither tech assoc. sent the session recover info., each made a change(s), rebooted the laptop! That's it, no return to the session prior to the restart!
Just getting to a remote session tech assoc. is filled with "contact support" infinite loop!

Restart the computer. You should now find the option to NOT require Windows Hello.

It is set to 0 (zero)
But after the restart, the login came up, asking for my PIN!!

2026-10-07T04:06:22.33+00:00 That registry change is to make this option show up. You still have to turn it off yet. Then when you sign in it will ask for pin, but you need to click on sign in options to change to using password. Or do you want auto sign in?

Plus, the sign-in options link is present, but non-functional, repeated attempts to enter that routine failed! As for the PIN (Windows Hello), the 2 items in that dropdown are present, but as I may have mentioned before! I don't recall my password! In addition, that routine asks for a thumb drive to delete the PIN... but what's supposed to be on the thumb drive?! I didn't use a thumb drive to enable 'Hello PIN'... so what's the thumb drive for??

Go to settings > accounts -> your info. Is it listing your Microsoft account email address or is it a local user?

I can't speak on behalf of the support experience since I am indepedent, but I think I might be able to help you with the technical question you might have. You only wrote "disable Windows Hello PIN". Do you want to stop Windows from asking you for PIN, and want to use password instead, or you want to set up auto log in without asking PIN or Password.
Can you currently access Windows?

if you don’t see that option or if that option is grayed out, Can you go to your Windows Settings > Accounts > Access Work or School (note, it is the briefcase icon, not the envelope or person icon). Then see if the organization email address is still listed? If so, click on it and then disconnect it. Restart the computer and then try again.

But "For improved security, only allow Windows Hello Sign-in for Microsoft accounts on this device (Recommended)." This string I placed in the search bar, "no results for improved security... ". I even placed "Hello Sign-in" no results for Hello Sign-in.
So, now I'll check your next suggestion, Windows Settings > Accounts > Access Work or School = Not set!
