    Hi Kristi Edmunds,

In addition to the steps already suggested, if you have access to another computer, please try printing from it to see whether the same blank-page issue occurs.

You can also download and install the latest Windows 11-compatible driver for your exact printer model from HP’s official support website. If possible, try printing a test page directly from the printer as well. If that page is also blank, the issue is more likely with the printer, cartridge or printhead rather than Windows.

Please let me know what happens after trying these checks.

    HI, let me help you.

May I know the make and model of your printer?

How is it connected? Is it wireless or wired?

Have you tried restarting the Printer?

A blank test page usually means the issue is either with the printer itself or the Windows print path.

    Try these steps in order:

    1. Power cycle the printer
      • Turn the printer off.
      • Unplug it for 30 seconds.
      • Plug it back in and turn it on.
    2. Check the printer for a hardware error
      • If the printer shows "Printer in error state", check for:
        • low paper or ink
        • an open cover
        • a paper jam
    3. Check the connection
      • USB printer: make sure the USB cable is firmly connected to both the printer and the PC.
      • Wireless printer:
        • make sure wireless is turned on at the printer
        • run the printer’s wireless connectivity test if the printer supports it
        • make sure the PC is on the same Wi‑Fi network as the printer, especially if there are extenders or multiple SSIDs
    4. Remove and reinstall the printer in Windows 11
      • Go to Start > Settings > Bluetooth & Devices > Printers & scanners.
      • Select the printer.
      • Select Remove, then confirm with Yes.
      • Go back to Printers & scanners.
      • Make sure the printer is on and connected.
      • Select Add device or Refresh.
      • If the printer appears, select Add device.
      • If it does not appear, select Add manually.
    5. Print a test page after reinstalling
      • If the printer installs but still prints blank, check the printer manufacturer’s site for troubleshooting information or updated drivers.
    6. Install the latest printer driver
      • Windows guidance recommends installing the latest driver if reinstalling does not fix the issue.
    7. Clear and reset the print spooler
      • Warning: this clears queued print jobs.
      • In the taskbar search box, type services and open Services.
      • On the Standards tab, double-click Print Spooler.
      • Select Stop > OK.
      • In the taskbar search box, enter %WINDIR%\system32\spool\printers and open that folder.
      • Delete all files in the folder.
      • Open Services again.
      • Double-click Print Spooler.
      • Select Start.
      • Set Startup Type to Automatic.
      • Select OK.

If the printer still produces a blank test page after these steps, the context only confirms that there may be a problem with the printer itself.
