    Hello William,

Copilot has processing limits because it can only handle a certain amount of document content in each request. However, I agree that it should clearly warn you when part of the document has not been considered, rather than returning an answer that appears complete.

As alternatives, try selecting only the relevant passage in Word and asking Copilot to rewrite or analyze that selection. For document questions, use a focused prompt such as, “What does the section about pricing say?” instead of asking it to review everything. Also, make sure Word is fully updated, since Copilot features may vary by platform and rollout.

If Copilot omits part of the document without warning you, select the thumbs-down icon below its response. Explain that the answer appeared complete even though Copilot had not processed the full document and include the document length and your prompt. This feedback helps Microsoft investigate the behavior.

You can also report this behavior through the Microsoft Feedback Portal to share your experience and request a clearer notification whenever Copilot cannot process the entire document.
