Azure Storage Explorer Mac App wont authenticate

Thank you for providing the details and screenshots regarding the Azure Storage Explorer sign-in issue.

Based on the screenshots, Azure Storage Explorer remains at “Starting sign in…” and, after cancelling the authentication attempt, reports the following error:

“The authentication library used by Storage Explorer has failed to start properly. Please ensure you have .NET 10 installed.”

“Error: Hub Controller process exited prematurely with exit code 131.”

This indicates that the immediate issue is occurring while Storage Explorer is attempting to initialise its authentication component, before the normal Azure sign-in process completes.

We understand that you have already installed the .NET 10.0.12 macOS ARM64 runtime. Since the issue continues, we would like to validate whether the required .NET runtime is being detected correctly and whether its architecture matches the Storage Explorer installation.

Could you please open Terminal on the affected Mac and share the output of the following commands?

• uname -m
• dotnet --info
• which dotnet
• dotnet --list-runtimes

Additionally, please provide the following information:

• Exact Azure Storage Explorer version currently installed.
• Whether the installed Storage Explorer package is ARM64 (Apple Silicon) or x64 (Intel).
• Whether the Mac uses an Apple Silicon or Intel processor.
• Authentication logs generated after reproducing the issue.

Please also check the authentication method in Azure Storage Explorer under Settings > Application > Sign-in > Sign in with and confirm the option currently selected.

Once we receive these details, we can review the runtime and architecture configuration and determine the appropriate next troubleshooting step for the Storage Explorer authentication component.
