BUG: Stuck in endless Arkose Captcha Loop trying to verify Azure for Students

I'm a student trying to activate my Azure for Students subscription through the GitHub Student Developer Pack, and I'm stuck in an infinite loop on the Arkose Labs "Press and Hold" verification step. I cannot get past it to reach the Azure Portal.

What I've tried so far:

  • Different browsers (e.g. Chrome, Edge)
  • Both desktop and mobile
  • Incognito/private browsing with extensions disabled
  • Different network (e.g. mobile hotspot vs. home/university Wi-Fi)

None of this resolves the loop — it's specific to the Azure/GitHub student activation flow.

Details:

  • GitHub Student Developer Pack status: active
  • Approximate date/time this started: [17/07/2026]
  • Error message shown: after completing the "Press and Hold" verification, it just says "Try again" and loops back to the same step every time, regardless of browser or device.

Any help getting this manually verified, or guidance on a workaround, would be appreciated. Thanks.

Because the loop survives different browsers, devices, private sessions, and networks, this is no longer client-side troubleshooting. There is no safe manual CAPTCHA bypass or reliable Q&A workaround.

Confirm the eligibility conditions once: use the same Microsoft account with active GitHub Student status, ensure no Azure for Students offer was used previously, and verify through the institutional student email. GitHub verification does not itself complete Azure enrollment.

Collect the UTC time of a failed attempt, Microsoft account email (do not post it), country/region, GitHub username, and any correlation or session ID. Contact Azure Education or subscription support and request an enrollment-verification review. Describe the Arkose loop and list the browser, device, and network tests already completed. Ask them to check the server-side verification state and escalate the enrollment flow if needed. Do not create additional accounts or repeatedly submit challenges, because the offer is limited to one eligible customer.
