Premium Planner cards missing the option to copy/duplicate

In Planner Premium I have a plan that heavily uses recreation of cards among buckets, but the option to copy/duplicate cards, both on the card face option dropdown and inside the card, have disappeared. Does anyone know what's happening? Copilot was not helpful.

Hi @Ben Anderson,

I hope you are doing well.

I appreciate your time raising the issue you are experiencing in a detailed description. After my research, I want to let you know that the behavior you are experiencing is due to the current design of Premium Planner, which doesn’t support copying or moving tasks at this time.

In Planner, copying and moving tasks is currently not supported for premium plans. The copy/duplicate options are only available for non‑premium (basic) plans, and the documentation explicitly notes that copying or moving tasks to or from premium plans is not yet supported. This explains why the copy/duplicate options for cards (tasks) have disappeared in a premium plan.

If task duplication is critical, a workaround is to use a basic (non‑premium) plan where the Copy task feature is available, or to duplicate the entire plan structure using Duplicate plan and then work from that copy. However, within a premium plan itself, individual task copy/duplicate is not currently available.

    Hi!

You are actually able to copy a task within the same plan by going into the "Grid-view" and clicking the 3 dots to the right. There is still no way to move a task from one premium plan to another - this is quite frustrating.
