Unfortunately MS in all their wisdom decided to re-invent the wheel and though it a great idea to downgrade the functionality of Windows 11 multi monitor support in a day and age where more and more people use multiple monitors by removing the ability to simply reposition the taskbar to another monitor.

Why on earth you would remove such a handy feature is beyond me. Now I have to resort to using a third party program which causes explorer stability issues to get this vital functionality back.

Changing my main display is not an option because then everything opens on the wrong display.

MS, how about you give us this feature back, especially since it's been talked about and requested ever since Windows 11 was released and people realized you removed such a vital basic feature?

This is not an acceptable solution because I do not want my second monitor to be my primary display - that causes other issues.

In Windows 10 I could move my taskbar to any display.

I would like to know how do that in windows 11.

You can move the taskbar to the second monitor; however, it also becomes your primary display.

Open Settings > System, then click Display on the right side.

Choose the monitor where you want the taskbar to appear.

Open the Multiple Displays menu and check Make this my main display.

In the left menu, go to Personalization and select Taskbar.

Expand Taskbar behaviors and uncheck Show my taskbar on all displays.
