Using Outlook for iOS for personal email and calendar management
Hello Coby. If the Outlook application has started crashing on your iPhone after the latest update, you are not the only one; many more users report similar problems. This behavior is typically due to compatibility issues from the latest version. While Microsoft has not officially confirmed a fix yet, it usually issues hotfixes or patches shortly after the reports go viral.
In the meantime, here is a quick workaround:
- Force quit the app and restart your iPhone. This clears temporary memory.
- Delete email, don't save and reinstall Outlook. When you do so, be sure to get the most recent version on the App Store.
- Clear browsers cache, and turn off background app refresh for Outlook.
If the problem does not improve, you may want to use Safari to use Outlook, or revert to using another mail app for a period of time.
