Hi, My manager recently purchased a small status indicator cube that displays red when he's in a Teams call and green when he's available.

During the setup process, he was prompted to install two applications that work with the device:

  1. Embrava Connect for Teams

Blynclight

The installation requests are currently pending approval, but I’m unable to locate either of these apps in Azure Active Directory > Enterprise Applications. I’ve searched both the portal and online documentation, but the guidance I’m finding doesn’t seem to align with what I’m seeing in our environment.

I’d appreciate any direction you can provide on how to:

  • Locate these apps in Azure AD,
  • Add them manually if needed, or
  • Approve them for installation within our Microsoft 365 tenant.

    Hi Kenneth Korp,

Thank you for reaching out regarding the setup of your manager’s status indicator cube. I understand you’re unable to locate the Embrava Connect for Teams and Blynclight applications in Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) for approval. Let me provide some guidance to help resolve this.

    1. Locating the Apps in Azure AD

These applications may not appear in Enterprise Applications until they’ve been requested or consented to for the first time. Here’s how to check:

    • Go to Azure Active Directory -> Enterprise Applications -> ManageUser's image
    • Ensure you’re searching with All Applications selected in the filter.
    • Try searching for the exact names (e.g., "Embrava" or "Blynclight").
    • If they don’t appear, they may not yet be registered in your tenant.

    2. Adding the Apps Manually (If Needed)

If the apps aren’t listed, they can be added manually by an Azure AD admin:

    • Navigate to Azure AD > Enterprise Applications > New Application.  User's image
    • Search for the apps in the Microsoft Application Gallery. If they aren’t listed, you can add them as Non-gallery applications:
    • Click Create your own application, name them (e.g., "Embrava Connect for Teams"), and register them.
    • For Blynclight, you may need to check the vendor’s documentation for specific Azure AD integration steps.

    3. Approving the Installation

If the apps are pending approval, check:

    • Azure AD > Enterprise Applications > User settings > Users can consent to apps accessing company data (ensure this aligns with your policies). User's image
    • Admin Consent Requests (if enabled):
    • Go to Azure AD > Enterprise Applications > Consent and permissions > Admin consent requests.  User's image
    • Approve pending requests here.

    Additional Resources

If the apps still don’t appear, they may require permissions that trigger admin consent. Please shares any error messages or prompts you’re seeing during setup, and I’d be happy to investigate further.

Let me know if you’d like assistance with any of these steps. I’m here to help!
