My system Win 11 64 bit and MSoft 365 Home Premium both fully updated. Recently my 365 Outlook (Classic) POP got corrupted. A new profile had to be created. Done eventually after being told by 3 PC fix stores they would not be able to help.

Done at 4th shop., but I had to return as while my old emails were incoming ( I imported backup and then had to remove duplicates.

No new emails were arriving (they showed in Gmail) . After lots of testing at the PC Repair shop yesterday my new emails started arriving.

In view for emails I have selected To Do List.

In Tasks (to Do) my Next 5 days View shows perfectly. It previously showed that way in the Emails view but not now. It has headers for each current day (not before) and includes next week, next month. When I (Seemingly) check the View Settings for To Do on email screen it has same parameters as To Do in Tasks but still is different -showing well into the future..

Any ideas for a fix?

Footnote. Considering how MS Outlook is used world wide I (for some years now) continue to be amazed at how few IT Tech shops have any real knowledge about it.

    I don't see a "Next 5 days View". Only "Next 7 Days".

In view for emails I have selected To Do List.

I don't understand. Can you please provide a screen shot, or give me the steps you are using to get to the view in question.

    Hi @NeilFitzjames-0675

I’m sorry to hear how much difficulty you have experienced rebuilding your Outlook profile and restoring your email delivery.

The To-Do Bar in the Mail view and the Next 5 Days view in Tasks use separate view settings. Therefore, even if their settings appear similar, they may display and group tasks differently.

From the Mail view, please try the following:

    • Go to View > To-Do Bar > Tasks.
    • Right-click inside the task list and select View Settings.
    • Select Filter and check whether any date-related filters are applied.
    • Select Group By and confirm that tasks are grouped by Due Date.
    • If the issue remains, select View > Reset View while the To-Do Bar is active.

You can also temporarily turn off the Tasks section through View > To-Do Bar > Tasks, restart Outlook, and then enable it again.

If the display is still incorrect, you may run outlook.exe`` ``/cleanviews from the Windows Run dialog. Please note that this command resets all customized Outlook views, so it should only be used as a final step.

Since the Tasks module displays correctly, the issue is more likely related to the Mail To-Do Bar view created under the new profile rather than your POP account or email data.

Please feel free to let me know if you have any further updates, thanks.
