There a link in my email instead of an email

When I go to my hotmail, there is a line with a different subject/title line every time I reopen the page in my email. It has an immediate time stamp of the current time and stays on top of all other emails. Which it also seems to be blocking any other emails from coming in. If you do anything to the line, try to delete it, copy it or click on it, it takes you to a porn site. I have tried everything to get it off of my hotmail. What suggestions does anyone have to fix this? I can not talk to a real person on Microsoft support and the help page, chat or AI phone robot is able to help? Any suggestions? Anyone have a solution or a phone number where I can get a real live person?

    Welcome Peggy Perkins,

I’m sorry you’re dealing with this. Since the item keeps changing, stays at the top of Outlook.com, and clicking it opens an unexpected website, I recommend treating this as a potential account or browser security issue rather than continuing to interact with the item.

    Please try these steps:

    • Do not click, copy, or open the suspicious item again. Microsoft recommends avoiding links in suspicious messages. Phishing and suspicious behavior in Outlook
    • Open Outlook.com directly in a new InPrivate/Incognito browser window and sign in. Please let me know whether the suspicious line still appears there. This will help determine whether the behavior is associated with your normal browser session.
    • In Outlook.com, open Settings > Mail > Rules and check for any rule you do not recognize, especially one that deletes, moves, redirects, or forwards incoming mail. Remove only rules you are certain you did not create.

Before trying anything further, could you confirm whether the suspicious line also appears when you sign in to Outlook.com using an InPrivate/Incognito window? Please do not post your email address, password, or a screenshot containing personal information here.

    Looking forward to your update.
