I use excel on Mac but power query can't be launched. Tried reinstalling excel and iOS. Neither works. Below are error messages I received. Could anyone please help?

  • Get Data (power query) -- Power Query wasn't able to start. Restart excel and try again;
  • Launch power query editor: Same error messages as above;
  • Data Source editor: Same error messages as above;
  • From HTML/Text (Legacy): File can be loaded
Microsoft 365 and Office | Excel | Other | MacOS

    Hello,

    You mentioned reinstalling iOS but since you are on a Mac I am guessing you mean macOS. To figure out why Power Query refuses to start I need a bit more info on your setup.

    • What exact version of macOS are you running right now?
    • What is your exact Excel version and license type? Just open Excel and click the word Excel in your top menu bar then hit About Microsoft Excel.

    Let me know what version number and license type pop up in that window so we can track down what is causing this startup block.
