Can't Log into Microsoft Xbox Games

This morning I installed an update to Windows on my laptop. After that, I could not log into any Xbox games (I tried Microsoft Jigsaw and Solitaire). I keep getting error 0x87DD0005. I've tried reinstalling the game, restarting the system and it still doesn't work. In checking Xbox, it has my location correctly and shows I'm logged in. I've tried different accounts and that doesn't work.

Any insights would be welcome. Thanks.

    Hi Toby Koch,

Since Microsoft Jigsaw and Microsoft Solitaire both return 0x87DD0005, while Xbox itself shows you signed in, this appears to be affecting the Xbox/Microsoft Store sign-in components rather than an individual game.

    Please try these checking steps:

    1. Press Win + R, type wsreset.exe and press Enter.
    2. Go to Settings > Apps > Installed apps and locate Gaming Services.
    3. Open Advanced options, then select Repair. If needed, try Reset.
    4. Open Microsoft Store, sign out and back in, then do the same in the Xbox app.
    5. Restart the PC and test Solitaire or Jigsaw again.

If 0x87DD0005 continues after these steps, please let us know whether other Microsoft Store apps can sign in normally. That will help narrow down whether the problem is specific to Xbox gaming services.
