For personal Microsoft accounts, a phone number may not appear in Account info because Microsoft no longer always offers phone numbers as a new sign-in or verification method.

    Supported reasons include:

    1. Phone numbers may no longer be available as a new security method In Security > Manage how I sign in, the option to add a new phone number might not be shown. Available methods may be recovery email, Microsoft Authenticator, or a passkey instead.
    2. A phone number can only be linked to one Microsoft account If that number is already associated with another Microsoft account, it will not be added to the current account.
    3. The number may be pending or recently changed If security info was removed and replaced, changes can take 30 days to take effect.

    What to check:

    1. Go to https://account.microsoft.com/security.
    2. Select Manage how I sign in.
    3. Check whether the account shows other verification methods instead of a phone number.
    4. If the phone option is missing, use a recovery email, Microsoft Authenticator, or a passkey.
    5. If the number is already used elsewhere, add a different mobile number instead.

For personal Microsoft accounts, Microsoft now says you can no longer add a phone number as a new security method. This method is being phased out. See official document here.

Are you hoping to update the contact method to receive the 2FA verification?

If so, you go to https://account.live.com > Security > Manage how I sign in. And you will need to use email, the authentication app, or passkey.

If you need to verify your Bing Reward, The supported alternative to entering a phone number is QR-code verification through the Bing mobile app. Microsoft officially identifies this as an alternative to SMS, and users have successfully redeemed rewards with it when SMS verification failed. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/accounts-billing/rewards/use-qr-code-verification-to-redeem-microsoft-rewards
