If the Canon PIXMA MG3520 is installed but does not appear in the print list, use this Windows 11 path:
- Check that the printer is turned on and connected correctly.
- If it is wireless, make sure the printer is on the same network as the PC.
- If it is USB, reconnect the cable and try a different USB port.
- Open Start > Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners.
- Confirm whether the printer appears there.
- If it is missing, select Add a printer & scanner > Add device.
- If Windows does not find it automatically, select The printer that I want isn't listed > Add a new device manually, then follow the prompts.
- Restart the Print Spooler service.
- Press Windows key + R
- Type services.msc and press Enter
- Find Print Spooler
- Right-click it and select Restart
- Update or reinstall the printer driver.
- Open Start > Device Manager
- Expand Printers
- Right-click the Canon printer and select Update driver
- If no update is available, select Uninstall device, restart the PC, and let Windows try to reinstall the driver automatically
- After the printer is installed, check Windows Update for updated drivers.
- If the printer is installed but still is not being selected for printing, set it as the default printer.
- In Settings > Printers & scanners, select the printer
- Select Manage
- Select Set as default
If the printer still does not appear in print dialogs after these steps, remove it from Printers & scanners, then reinstall it and install the latest driver package available for that printer model.
