My Microsoft account got hacked and the hacker deleted the account which deleted my Minecraft account with it and I have spent a lot of time on that account and I don't want to have to buy Minecraft since I had got it as a gift, is there any way I can recover my Microsoft account with Minecraft with it? I have made a new Microsoft account so is it possible that my old data and everything from my old account with this email address be transferred to this account?

    Hi @Gavin Mooney

I understand why you want to preserve the Minecraft access and progress connected to your original account, especially since the game was received as a gift.

Unfortunately, creating a new Microsoft account with the same email address does not recreate the old account. Minecraft ownership, profile information, and other account data remain associated with the original Microsoft account and cannot normally be merged or transferred to the newly created account.

Your best option is therefore to determine whether the original account can still be recovered. Please use Microsoft’s hacked-account guidance and Sign-in Helper: How to recover a hacked or compromised Microsoft account

If you contact Microsoft or Minecraft Support, prepare any information that may help identify the original account, such as the Minecraft username or Gamertag, the original email address, previous passwords, and the gift or redemption confirmation if available.

You may also contact Minecraft Support to ask whether any account-specific options are available for the gifted copy. However, recovery of the original Microsoft account would still be the most likely way to regain access to the Minecraft entitlement.
