Hi, @Gemma Lipata

In Word, pages are not separate objects, so moving a page usually means moving all of the text, images, and other content on that page.

If you haven't already, select the content you want to move, press Ctrl+X, click where you want it moved, then press Ctrl+V.

To help narrow this down:

  1. Are you trying to move pages within the same Word document, or transfer them to another Word document?
  2. Do the pages contain only text, or also images, tables, headers, or special formatting?

Click "Add comment" to let me know.

Thanks!

To move or copy pages in Word, use one of these methods:

    1. Copy a page to another location
      • For a one-page document: press Ctrl+A, then Ctrl+C.
      • For a multi-page document: place the cursor at the start of the page, drag to the bottom of that page, then press Ctrl+C.
      • Go to where the page should appear.
      • Select Insert > Blank Page.
      • Press Ctrl+V to paste.
    2. Move sections more easily with headings
      • If the document uses headings, open the Navigation pane.
      • Select the Headings tab.
      • Drag the heading to a new location to move that part of the document.
    3. Convert an older document before editing
      • If the document is in Compatibility Mode, select File > Info > Convert.
      • To keep a separate copy, use File > Save As, choose Word Document, and clear Maintain compatibility with previous versions of Word.

If the goal is to move full pages, copying the page content and pasting it onto a new blank page is the supported method. If the document is structured with headings, the Navigation pane is the easiest way to move larger sections.

Hi Gemma, you can easily move pages in Microsoft Word by selecting the text and content you want to move, pressing Ctrl + X, clicking where you want to place it, and pressing Ctrl + V. If you want to move a page to another Word document, you can use the same method. For documents with images, tables, or special formatting, make sure to select all the content on that page before cutting and pasting it. I hope this helps
