Displaying your screen content to others during a Teams meeting or call for collaboration
Hi Nikole,
Regarding your concern, a Microsoft Teams webinar should work well for approximately 45 attendees. Many common business plans, including Microsoft 365 Business Basic, Business Standard, and Business Premium, support the features required to create and run webinars.
However, I cannot confirm whether you need an update without knowing your exact subscription. You can check it in Microsoft 365 Admin Center > Users > Active users > select your account > check the assigned subscription. This action requires administrator privileges, so if you are an end user, please reach out and ask your administrator to confirm that webinars are enabled for your account.
If you are unsure who your IT administrator is, please refer to this guide: How do I find my Microsoft 365 admin?
Here are the steps to create the webinar:
- Open the Teams Calendar > select the arrow next to New > select Webinar
- Enter the event date and time: Tuesday, October 27, 2026, from 9:15 AM to 11:00 AM Pacific Time
- Add presenters or co-organizers
- Configure the registration form and event access
- Publish the webinar and share the registration link with attendees
You can use these Microsoft articles as references:
- Get started with Microsoft Teams webinars | Microsoft Support
- Schedule a webinar in Microsoft Teams | Microsoft Support
Also, I highly recommend scheduling a short practice session before the event to test presenter access, screen sharing, audio, recording, and attendee permissions.
Hope this will help. Should you have any other questions, please feel free to share them in the comments of this post. I'm happy to assist you further.
