All the possible options given by you had sadly not worked at all,I explored all Windows 11 versions one by one, after Windows 11 21.996.1, and they all show these issues as well.I explored all the settings in Regedit? and Gpedit's settings as shown from experts in their videos ,that didn't change anything. The cause/s was not solved?.Clear protection history in Windows 11 26h2 settings, can't be pinned to start either?,it's either blocked or was made like so?.All other choices in the settings also cannot be pinned to start?,including Windows updates and Windows security.I thought it was my Microsoft account that was causing these issues ?or User account?,and it's none of these..I know by using an over 5 year old Windows 11 version isn't good for my computer, and would of installed Windows 11 25h2 or later, only if i didn't end up with these weird unfixable/unsolveable issues?.I simply could not go on like so.?

    Hello,

Since you have already tried testing out the registry and group policy editors, I want to clarify exactly how you are trying to pin these items.

Are you trying to right click a specific sub category like the About page or Windows Security from the navigation sidebar or are you clicking somewhere else?

Microsoft fundamentally changed the way the Settings app behaves in the newer Windows 11 updates you mentioned, and they actually removed the native ability to just right click and pin deep sub menus to the Start menu in a lot of places.

Let me know exactly what steps you are taking to pin those specific settings so I can see if your install is actually glitched or if you are just running into normal intended design changes.

    Welcome maroner pierre,

Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A Forum. I understand that the Pin to Start option is not appearing for Settings pages such as About, Windows Update, and Windows Security, and that the previous Registry, Group Policy, account, and Windows version troubleshooting did not resolve it.

Please try the step below to troubleshoot the issue:

    1, Check Windows system components

    • Open Command Prompt as administrator.
    • Run DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
    • After it completes, run sfc /scannow
    • Restart Windows after both commands complete.

2, Check the behavior from Windows Search

    • Press Windows + S.
    • Search for Windows Update or Windows Security.
    • Right-click the matching result and check whether Pin to Start is available.

3, Avoid making additional Registry or Group Policy changes for now

    • This will help determine whether the current behavior can be reproduced with the standard Windows configuration.

    Looking forward to your update.
