"I am not a programmer"... and in the same vein, we forum users can't see your screen. So it's really important that you clearly explain what's happening. I will try again to explain.
"I tested this several times and the same thing happened.". Are you saying that every time you use ChatGPT, that you hear a beep AND a Powershell window also pops up? When I am using ChatGPT online and it replies, I get the beep.
Or are you saying that you had the Sounds settings open, but you were NOT using ChatGPT and that's when you got the beep and Powershell window? No. I was using Chat and opened the Sound setting to see what popped up when the beep occurred. When it beeped, a popup window with "Windows Power Shell" was there for only a second then disappeared.
"I have checked my Chrome settings". What happens if you use MS Edge? It will not let me use Chat until I subscribe and I don't see a sign in option either so I closed Edge. When I use the Chat software installed on my computer I do not hear the beep. At least I didn't when I tried just now.
You may have 2 different problems. For the Powershell issue you will need to follow the instructions in my first reply. You have to find what command line parameters Powershell is being asked to run.
For the sounds issue, in Settings/System/Sound, click on "More sound settings". Then in the Sounds tab, look to see what sound scheme you have set. If it says "modified" then something was changed. I followed these instructions and did see "modified" so I changed it to "default" then tested it in Chat and the beep still occurred.
Set it to "Windows Default". click apply, and see if the beep goes away. If it doesn't, then set it to "No Sounds" and click apply. If you still hear the beep with it set to No Sounds, then the beep has to be coming from some other program (like Powershell).
