Try this in order:
- Make sure Bluetooth is on.
- Windows 11: Start > Settings > Bluetooth & devices and confirm Bluetooth is enabled.
- Or select Network on the right side of the taskbar and turn on the Bluetooth quick setting.
- Put the earbuds back into pairing mode.
- If the earbuds are not discoverable, the laptop will not find them.
- Remove the old Bluetooth pairing and pair again.
- Windows 11: Start > Settings > Bluetooth & devices > View more devices.
- Select More options next to the earbuds device entry > Remove device > Yes.
- Then try pairing again.
- Restart the laptop, then try pairing again.
- Run the Bluetooth troubleshooter.
- Windows 11: Start > Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters > Run next to Bluetooth.
- Check Bluetooth support on the laptop.
- The PC should support Bluetooth 4.0 or later.
- Surface Pro 3 and newer Surface devices support Bluetooth 4.0.
- Test the earbuds with another phone or PC.
- This helps confirm whether the issue is with the earbuds or with the laptop.
If the earbuds were previously connected but still are not recognized after re-pairing, a Bluetooth driver issue can also cause this. Reinstalling the Bluetooth driver from Device Manager or from the device manufacturer support site is a common next step.
