    Hi,

Could you access Disk Management, take a screenshot, and post it here?

    Thanks.

@Satheesh Rajamanickam We may need a bit of clarification to give you an accurate answer. The softwares component settings and configurations are commonly formatted to the internal drive. If it seems that your 1TB SSD is already using storage without saving anything directly, it is likely being used as space for your Windows 11 backend features to function properly. In developer and admin views, there are generally files with extensions that do not open a source, images to display correctly, driver's to update changes, among other important security "containers" that facilitate functionality, including command-line prompt output if settings are missing to complete the computational output. This is why modern PC's recommend a minimum of 1TB SSD. It's also common for newer models and versions of Windows 11 to integrate OneDrive into the computer's File Management System to save space on SSD configurations.

You can manually save files and items to your SSD by setting it save all to the local device as your default file location, or individually clicking "save as" and selecting a local folder on the SSD instead of to the cloud backup account that was open with. By doing this, you won't have access to the files saved to the SSD from other devices unless it is separately saved to another cloud folder. That is an option but it doesn't answer the question regarding your currently stated operating capacity not working. If format changes to the drive, disks, or file system have already been altered or removed then it could be due to missing components in the softwares configuration from the internal storage. If the device came defective, perhaps reaching out to the provider you purchased the device from for direct support would be most helpful. If system components have been altered, I recommend looking into support articles on Microsoft and your device manufacturers site to understand the systems configuration. Some outside software tools saved to the drive may affect device performance, and there are ways to safely format to your specifications. I wish I could tell you it's one thing or another but there's a lot that could be causing it. I still hope this information is useful and points you in the right direction!
