How to effectively report malicious/defamatory autocomplete suggestions in Bing Search?

Hi there,

When I search for "Dengguitang" (a Chinese TCM brand) on Bing, the autocomplete suggestion dropdown shows a clearly defamatory suggestion: "Dengguitang fraud case introduction" (in Chinese: 登贵堂诈骗案例介绍), which is highlighted in the screenshot below. All other suggestions in the same dropdown are normal brand-related queries.

I clicked the "report feedback" button on that suggestion about 10 days ago, but nothing has changed — the suggestion is still showing and I have not received any response or confirmation.

Could you please advise:

  1. Is there a more direct or effective channel to report abusive/defamatory autocomplete suggestions?
  2. How long does it typically take for a reported suggestion to be reviewed and removed?
  3. Is there any way to speed up the process, since this is causing reputational harm to the brand?

Screenshot attached. Thank you!

    Hi, 晓润 潘

I understand why you’re concerned. Your screenshot shows the phrase in Bing’s autocomplete dropdown, rather than as a website result.

Besides the dropdown feedback, you can use the https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink?LinkId=850876 linked from the official support page. This provides another reporting channel, although submitting a report does not guarantee removal.

I recommend clearly identifying this as an autocomplete suggestion complaint. Include the exact Chinese phrase, the screenshot, the search term, the China/domestic search setting, and your original reporting date. Explain why you believe the accusation is false and provide supporting evidence, rather than only describing it as negative.

I couldn’t verify a published review deadline or guaranteed expedited process for autocomplete complaints, so I wouldn’t promise a specific turnaround. You can request urgent review because of the reputational impact, but that is a request, not a guarantee of faster handling.

Please be advised that this is a user-to-user support forum.
