Previous questions (by others) asking basically the same thing have suggested adjustment that don't appear when following the instructions given.

Report this to Microsoft using the feedback facility in the classic Outlook and/or by posting in the portal at https://feedbackportal.microsoft.com/feedback/forum/89a8afa3-2e1c-ec11-b6e7-0022481f8472 .

    Hi PJSmcfeet,

Since some of the settings mentioned in older troubleshooting steps may not appear in your current setup, it would be best to narrow down the account configuration first.

Please try these quick checks in Classic Outlook:

    1. Go to Send/Receive > Send/Receive All Folders and check whether synchronization completes.
    2. Start Outlook in Safe Mode by pressing Windows + R, entering outlook.exe /safe and selecting OK. If syncing improves, an Outlook add-in may be contributing to the delay.
    3. Also check the mailbox through webmail. If messages appear promptly there and on your phone, this helps narrow the issue to Outlook on the PC.

If the problem continues, could you let us know whether the account is Outlook.com/Microsoft 365, Gmail, or another provider, and which specific setting from the previous instructions you cannot find? That will help us provide the correct steps without repeating options that aren't available in your configuration.
