Welcome tac 216,
Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A Forum. I understand that when you move between windows on separate monitors, the mouse pointer stops allowing you to interact with them until you press Ctrl+Alt+Delete, and you are also experiencing occasional stuck-key behavior.
Does the issue still occur if you temporarily disconnect the second monitor and use only one display? Also, are the monitors connected directly to the PC, or through a dock/adapter?
Please make sure you already tried the Q&A Assist steps. In addition, please try the following:
1, Reset the graphics driver when the issue occurs
- Press Windows key + Ctrl + Shift + B
- The screen may briefly flicker while the graphics driver resets
- Check whether mouse interaction returns without using Ctrl+Alt+Delete
2, Perform a clean boot
- Search for
msconfigand open System Configuration - On the Services tab, select Hide all Microsoft services, then select Disable all and Apply
- Open the Startup tab > Open Task Manager and disable enabled startup items
- Restart the computer and test the mouse and keyboard again
- If the issue disappears, this helps isolate a background application or service causing the conflict
3, Repair Windows system files
- Open Command Prompt as administrator
- Run
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealthand allow it to complete - Then
run sfc /scannow - Restart Windows after the scan completes
Looking forward to your update.
