Normally, Teams does not automatically discover IP security cameras as webcams. If this camera appears in the Teams camera dropdown, it suggests that Windows has a compatible camera interface or that installed software by AXIS is exposing the camera feed to Teams.

    Hi Tom,

Thank you for sharing your concern.

Although the AXIS M3104-LVE is a network security camera, it can appear as an alternate camera in Microsoft Teams when AXIS software, such as AXIS Streaming Assistant, is installed. This software can register an AXIS network camera as an available video source in Windows, allowing applications such as Teams to detect it. The[x64] label likely indicates that the 64-bit version of the AXIS software or virtual camera component is being used.

If you do not need this camera in Teams, you can try the steps below:

    1. Completely exit AXIS Streaming Assistant from the Windows system tray, and then restart Teams.
    2. Go to Settings > Apps > Installed apps and check whether AXIS Streaming Assistant or another AXIS application is installed.
    3. If the software is not required, uninstall it and restart the computer.

If the computer or camera system is managed by your organization, please check with your IT or security-camera administrator before uninstalling the software or disabling its driver, as other monitoring applications may depend on it.

This does not necessarily indicate an issue with Teams. Teams is most likely displaying a video source that has already been registered and made available through Windows.

I hope this information is helpful. Should you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please feel free to share them in the comment below. I'm very happy to help.
