As i said in the header its been months that I've had 11,000 points and every time I try to redeem the card it wants me to use the Bing app and then says use 6-digit verification code to verify order but absolutely will not give me any kind of code whatsoever. It's getting tiresome... I just want my dang gift card.

    Hi Hen Dimus,

I understand how frustrating this must be, especially after trying for several months while having enough points available for the reward.

The six-digit code should appear as part of the verification flow started from the Microsoft Rewards website. Please open the Microsoft Rewards Redeem page in a web browser rather than starting the redemption inside the Bing app. Select the gift card, choose Verify with the Bing app, and then scan the QR code with the mobile device. Make sure the same Microsoft account is signed in on both the Rewards website and the Bing app.

If no code appears after scanning the QR code, try once more after updating the Bing app and using a different browser or network without a VPN or proxy. Avoid making repeated attempts within a short period, as unsuccessful verification attempts may temporarily prevent another attempt.

Since this has continued for several months, I also recommend submitting a request through Microsoft Rewards Support. The support team can review the redemption and verification status associated with the account, which community contributors cannot access.

When contacting support, please include a screenshot of the verification screen, the type of device being used, and confirm that the Bing app never displays or completes the six-digit-code step. Please remove any email address, phone number, or other personal information from the screenshot before submitting it publicly.

I hope the Rewards team can help get the verification process moving so you can finally redeem the gift card. Thank you so much for your understanding.

If Bing app verification is not showing the 6-digit code, use this supported path and checks:

    1. Go to the Microsoft Rewards site in a web browser and start the redemption again.
    2. At the verification prompt, select Verify with the Bing app.
    3. Scan the QR code shown on the Rewards site with a mobile device.
    4. After scanning, enter the 6-digit verification code and select Verify.
    5. Return to the original redemption screen and complete the redemption.

    Important limits for this method:

    • The QR code option appears only when redeeming in a web browser on a PC or mobile device.
    • It does not appear when redeeming inside the Bing app.
    • It does not appear for Auto-redeem rewards.

If verification still fails, try these troubleshooting steps:

    1. Make sure the browser and operating system are up to date.
    2. Clear browser cache and cookies.
    3. Turn off any VPN, proxy, or third-party security software temporarily.
    4. Try a different browser, device, or network.
    5. Make sure the same Microsoft account is being used for Microsoft Rewards and the Bing app.

If phone verification was attempted repeatedly, wait 48 hours before trying again.

Also check for common redemption blockers:

    • A phone number used on too many Rewards accounts. The limit is 6 accounts per household on one phone number.
    • Use of a VoIP number. A mobile or landline number is required.
    • Redeeming while traveling or while a VPN/proxy makes the location appear to be in another region.
    • Temporary account blocks caused by unusual activity or too many repeated verification requests. In that case, avoid repeated attempts, try another network, and wait at least 24 hours, or longer if needed.

If the Bing app path still never provides the code after those checks, submit a case to Microsoft Rewards Support for investigation.
