With Windows 11 our HP Pavilion 24-xa All-in-One Desktop PC (5KF22AV) in-built Camera won't work despite updates etc. Looks like I need a new driver install but don't know what to do.

    For a built-in HP camera that stopped working after moving to Windows 11, the supported first step is to update the camera driver through Windows Update, because this issue is commonly linked to outdated, missing, or corrupted camera drivers.

    Recommended path:

    1. Run the Windows Camera troubleshooter in the Get Help app. It includes automated steps that can resolve most camera-related issues.
    2. Install driver updates from Windows Update:
      • Open Start > Settings > Windows Update.
      • Check for updates and install any available hardware or driver updates.
    3. Verify camera privacy settings:
      • Go to Settings > Privacy & security > Camera.
      • Make sure camera access is turned on.
      • Make sure app access is turned on for the apps that need the camera.
    4. If the camera is still missing or shows 0xA00F4244 NoCamerasAreAttached, treat it as a driver-recognition problem and use Windows Update again to look for the camera device driver.

    If the camera still does not appear after those steps, the available guidance only confirms that the problem is usually driver-related and that updating through Windows Update and using the Camera troubleshooter are the supported actions.

    Hello,

    Welcome to the Microsoft Windows Community.

    Good afternoon, @Daniel Kent . Your webcam drivers are available on the HP support website; first, check if the permissions allowing apps to access the device are enabled:

    1. Press Win + I -> Privacy & Security

    2. Locate "Webcam" and enable all permissions for the app.

    Restart your computer and test it out.

    1. If you need to reinstall the drivers, use the official link:
