For Windows 11, the taskbar default position is at the bottom of the screen, and the default icon alignment is centered.
To return the taskbar closer to its default settings:
- Right-click the taskbar and select Taskbar settings.
- Expand Taskbar behaviors.
- Set Taskbar alignment to Center.
- If the taskbar is hidden, clear Automatically hide the taskbar.
To restore default-looking taskbar items:
- Go to Start > Settings > Personalization > Taskbar.
- Under Taskbar items, turn on or off items such as Search, Task view, and Widgets as needed.
- Under System tray icons and Other system tray icons, show or hide icons to reduce clutter.
To change the taskbar color:
- Go to Settings > Personalization > Colors.
- Change the Windows color mode or configure accent colors.
- In taskbar settings, Help with taskbar includes the Changing taskbar color link.
If the goal is to move the taskbar to the left side of the screen, Windows 11 does not support moving the taskbar to the top or side. Only the icon alignment can be changed to center or left, while the taskbar itself stays at the bottom.
The Yahoo home page setting is not covered in the available context.
