Hello Microsoft 365 Developer Program Team,

I am requesting urgent assistance with my former Office 365 E3 Developer subscription and recovery of my existing OneDrive for Business files.

1. Subscription and invoice information

  • Subscription: Office 365 E3 Developer

Original licenses: 25

Invoice date: December 19, 2025

Service period: November 19, 2025 – November 18, 2026

Expiration date stated in Microsoft's invoice email: November 19, 2026

Invoice total: CNY 0.00

Despite the future expiration date stated in my Microsoft invoice notification, my subscription has disappeared from the Microsoft 365 admin center.

I understand that the historical invoice does not necessarily establish the current subscription status. However, I would like Microsoft to investigate why the subscription became unavailable before the stated expiration date.

2. Current problems

My Office 365 E3 Developer subscription no longer appears under Billing → Your products.

Both available billing account views show no products or licenses.

My administrator account has no assigned Office 365 license.

OneDrive for Business on the web redirects to the Microsoft 365 account page instead of opening my files.

The OneDrive desktop application remains stuck during sign-in.

My Microsoft 365 Developer Program dashboard now indicates that I do not qualify for a sandbox subscription.

3. Attempts to contact Microsoft Support

I have tried calling the official Microsoft support numbers, but I have been unable to reach a representative who can investigate my case.

I also attempted to create a support request through the Microsoft Entra admin center. However, the available subscription selector only shows Azure for Students, not my former Office 365 E3 Developer subscription.

The Microsoft 365 online support assistant has not provided a workable path to create a support ticket for this missing subscription.

4. Urgent request: Recover my original OneDrive data

My highest priority is recovering and exporting my existing OneDrive for Business files.

Could someone please help clarify:

Was my original E3 Developer subscription retired, disabled, expired, or deleted? What was the actual termination date?

Does my original OneDrive site still exist, and are the stored files recoverable?

What is the applicable retention or deletion deadline for this specific legacy E3 Developer subscription?

Is it possible to restore temporary access or export the original files?

If a replacement Microsoft 365 license is required, can Microsoft confirm that the existing data remains recoverable before I purchase or assign one?

How can I reach the appropriate Microsoft 365 billing, Developer Program, or SharePoint Online/OneDrive support team?

5. Request for Microsoft moderator assistance

Could a Microsoft moderator or Developer Program representative please help escalate this issue to the appropriate support team?

I have the original Microsoft invoice and subscription notification email and can provide my tenant ID, account details, subscription information, and invoice privately through an authorized Microsoft support channel.

My main objective is to recover the existing files from my original tenant, not to create a new developer sandbox.

Any assistance in establishing an official support case or identifying a supported data recovery process would be greatly appreciated.

6. Request for temporary data preservation before account deletion

I would also like to clarify that my Office 365 E3 Developer subscription was provided free of charge through the Microsoft 365 Developer Program.

I understand that developer subscriptions are intended for development and testing, that eligibility and renewal are not guaranteed, and that Microsoft may discontinue expired or ineligible subscriptions.

I am not requesting indefinite free access or permanent renewal of the subscription.

My main concern is the potential permanent loss of the files stored in my original OneDrive for Business account.

If my original OneDrive data still exists, I would sincerely appreciate Microsoft's assistance with the following:

Temporary data preservation: If technically and contractually possible, please prevent further deletion of the original OneDrive data while recovery options are investigated.

Temporary recovery or export access: Please consider providing a limited, temporary access period, or another supported method, solely for downloading and backing up my existing files.

Recovery deadline: Please confirm the current retention status and the exact date after which my files would become permanently unrecoverable.

Account cleanup after recovery: Once I have successfully downloaded and verified my backup, I do not need the free developer subscription to remain active. The original subscription and account can then be closed or deleted in accordance with Microsoft's applicable policies.

I fully understand that Microsoft may not be able to extend the retention period or restore an expired developer subscription.

However, if any recovery option remains available, I respectfully request an opportunity to retrieve my original files before permanent deletion.

Could a Microsoft moderator please help escalate this time-sensitive data preservation and recovery request to the appropriate team?

Thank you very much for your consideration and assistance.
