I am not able to create "Pay as you go", or "Azure free account" account in Azure.

The following is the full error message:

User account '*****@hotmail.com' from identity provider 'live.com' does not exist in tenant 'Microsoft Services' and cannot access the application 'c44b4083-3bb0-49c1-b47d-974e53cbdf3c'(Azure Portal) in that tenant. The account needs to be added as an external user in the tenant first. Sign out and sign in again with a different Azure Active Directory user account.*

I don't know how to log in the given (Azure Portal) which I accessed following some online instuction to create runtime access to Azure that would stay available for about 4 hours as it was described in the online tutorial. I don't have any use for the Auzre Portal ('c44b4083-3bb0-49c1-b47d-974e53cbdf3c'). Please delete if possible if that is what is blocking me from creating an account to follow Coursera training from Microsoft.

Hi @Abraham Z

Good news, nothing needs to be deleted. That message just means you opened the Azure portal with a personal Hotmail account before it had any Azure subscription. Personal accounts land in a default tenant called "Microsoft Services" when that happens, and Microsoft's docs call this expected behavior. It isn't blocking your sign-up.

To get a working account for the Coursera labs:

  1. Sign out of the portal, close the tab, and open a new InPrivate or Incognito window.
  2. Go to azure.microsoft.com and start the sign-up for a free account or Pay-As-You-Go from there, not from the portal link in the tutorial.
  3. Sign in with the same Hotmail address and complete the steps. Azure then creates your own tenant and makes you its Global Administrator, so the portal will work normally after that.

Did the tutorial give you a direct portal link, or did you go to portal.azure.com yourself?

If this resolved your issue, please consider accepting it as the answer. If the sign-up page shows a different error, let me know and I'll be happy to keep helping.
