Today was looking trough my Samsung Gallery and I've noticed that alot of videos and fotos were missing and started looking arround and from what I suppose is that after the Syncronisation between Samsung Gallery and One Drive was cancelled my One Drive account is all over the place theres fotos that are like duplicated five fold and some stuff is missing most specially a video from when my daughter was born as my wife was still in after care and I had to wait as she recovered with my daughter for her 1st hour in my arms.

I've looked everywhere and its always the same tips like Recycle Bin, go to One Drive web browser directly and so on I even restored my One Drive account to 15/09/2026 to see if it would help but with no luck.

As my last resort is to try an Immediate Support Ticket with Microsoft but they are only open when I'm working and now I don't know what to do.

Best Regards

    Hello,

Before we can start digging for a fix, I need to get a better picture of what is going on locally on your phone and how the link was severed.

When you mention the synchronization was cancelled, did you go into your account settings and completely unlink the Samsung account from your Microsoft account, or did you simply flip the switch off for camera upload in the OneDrive app itself?

It would also be super helpful to know if you already peeked into the local trash bin right inside the Samsung Gallery app on your phone. Sometimes when the sync breaks or is disconnected abruptly, things can get moved to the physical device trash rather than the online cloud recycle bin you already checked.

Get back to me with those details and we will figure out where to look next.

Because Samsung Gallery sync is bi-directional, deletions or changes in Samsung Gallery, OneDrive, the web, or other OneDrive endpoints can be reflected everywhere. Deleted Samsung Gallery-synced files are moved to the OneDrive Recycle Bin and deleted from synced devices. Since the Recycle Bin, OneDrive web search, and a OneDrive restore have already been tried, the remaining supported checks are:

    1. Check whether the missing items are in Personal Vault.
      • Files in Personal Vault do not appear in OneDrive search results.
      • In OneDrive on the web, open Recycle bin and select Show Personal Vault items to unlock and view them if that option appears.
    2. Confirm the correct Microsoft account is being used.
      • Missing files can be in another personal Microsoft account.
      • If multiple Microsoft accounts were ever used on the device, sign out of OneDrive and sign in again with the other account.
    3. Search local device storage.
      • Use the Files app on the phone, or File Explorer/Finder on a computer, to search for the missing videos and photos.
      • Also check the computer’s Recycle Bin/Trash.
    4. Review Samsung Gallery sync behavior.
      • If files were deleted or modified during Samsung Gallery sync, those changes can have been mirrored to OneDrive and the device.
      • If Samsung Gallery was connected and other folders such as screenshots or social media folders were expected, verify in Samsung settings: Settings > Accounts and backup > Samsung Cloud > Gallery > Albums to sync and check whether the relevant albums were selected.
    5. If Samsung Gallery connection problems started with sync itself, report through Samsung support on the device.
      • Path: Settings > Accounts and backup > Samsung Cloud > More options > Settings > Contact us > Error reports
      • Ensure Send system log data is enabled.
    6. If the files are not found in search, Recycle Bin, Personal Vault, another account, or local storage, they usually cannot be retrieved.
      • For personal accounts, support agents cannot access files and cannot provide more help than the documented guidance.

If the goal is to stop further changes while checking, disconnect Samsung Gallery from OneDrive:

    • In Microsoft account Additional security options, remove Samsung Cloud permissions.
    • On the Samsung device, go to Settings > Accounts and backup > Manage accounts, select the Samsung account, then Apps and services > Linked accounts > My profile > Linked accounts, and unlink the Microsoft account.
