Can you edit an account once it goes to Read-only mode?

    Dear Frederick,

In most cases it can be edited again, but it depends on why it became read-only. The most common cause in Dynamics 365 is that the Account record has been deactivated. Inactive records are read-only. To make it editable again, open the record and select Activate on the command bar.

If the record is active but still read-only, it's usually down to permissions, for example your security role doesn't allow editing it or it's owned by someone else. In that case, your Dynamics 365 administrator can check your access.

I hope this helps. Looking forward to your reply.
