Can Official Brand Kits be used directly in Copilot Chat within the Microsoft 365 Copilot app, or are they only supported when generating content through PowerPoint?

I have created and published an Official Brand Kit and have been assigned the Brand Manager policy.

Microsoft documentation explains how to select a Brand Kit in PowerPoint to generate on-brand content with Copilot, but it's unclear whether published Brand Kits are also used by Copilot Chat in the Microsoft 365 Copilot app.

• Can Copilot Chat currently use an organization's published Brand Kit when generating content from prompts, or is Brand Kit support limited to experiences such as PowerPoint and Create?
• If Copilot Chat supports Brand Kits, are there any additional requirements or configuration steps needed to enable this functionality?

I also have a second question regarding Brand Guidelines.

Microsoft documentation mentions an "Add brand guidelines" option that allows a PDF of brand guidelines to be uploaded and processed as part of a Brand Kit. However, when creating or editing my Official Brand Kit, I do not see this option.

• Is the Brand Guidelines feature generally available?
• Does it require additional licensing, policies, or tenant configuration?
