Dear Microsoft Support Team,

I am writing to urgently request technical assistance regarding a rolling security restriction on my Microsoft Account primary alias management.

Yesterday, I added my alternative address (see.***********@gmail.com) as a temporary alias. Due to a critical oversight during the configuration process, the system unexpectedly changed my Primary Alias to the Gmail address. When I immediately tried to revert the status back to my official corporate domain identity—shux*************@seem.uz**—the dashboard locked me out, displaying a frequency limit enforcement rule.

This restriction is causing an operational crisis for my enterprise (Samarkand England Eco-Medical LLC). I am currently blocked from downloading a highly sensitive Drug Master File (DMF) shared via OneDrive by our international partner. The strict configuration of their secure sharing node states: "This link only works for the direct recipients of this message", meaning I cannot bypass corporate authentication with the secondary Gmail identity.

Requested Action: Please review the security log for my profile, verify my account activity, and lift the frequency cooldown early. I need immediate authorization to set shux*************@seem.uz** back as the active Primary Alias.

Thank you for your prompt intervention in this enterprise-blocking matter.

Best regards,
Shukhrat Khusainov

Your account needs to be reset by admin. Get your Global admin to reset it for you. We have no access to your tenant.

If you are Global Admin and the only one, and you are locked out, then did you purchase the license from a reseller. Sometimes the reseller relationship allows the reseller to retain delegated admin for support purposes, who can then help you do a reset.

If neither is able, then there is no quick solution available.

If you have an urgent email that can only be sent to your corporate tenant, then you need to get it sent to a colleague who is under the same security access rules in your corporate tenant as you.

Global admin recovery process can take days to weeks as part of the normal process.

Some other ideas you can try -
If you know someone senior the Microsoft organization, then you can see if they can help you escalate via backchannels.
If your reseller knows someone, or is willing to consume a Microsoft premium support ticket for you, that helps too.

The typical way to reach Microsoft support by yourself is as follows -

Use Microsoft’s tenant recovery process, often referred to as a Data Protection request. Support will verify that your company owns the tenant before helping restore access to the Global Administrator account.

1.      Open a support case from a Microsoft 365 tenant that you can access, such as another tenant or a trial tenant. In the Microsoft 365 admin centre, go to Help & support and state: “Sole Global Administrator locked out; requesting tenant recovery for a different tenant.” Make it clear from the beginning that the case concerns another tenant.

2.      Prepare the locked tenant’s tenant ID, domain name, former administrator’s user principal name (UPN), and company registration documents. The tenant ID may be available from the OpenID configuration address already provided above.

3.      Be prepared to verify ownership of the domain. Support may ask you to add a specific DNS TXT record. After verification, they can guide you through resetting the administrator’s password and multifactor authentication.

4.      If phone support is the only available option, ask specifically for “tenant recovery” and the “Data Protection team.” Use a clear phone line and speak slowly when responding to the automated Interactive Voice Response system.

Suggested IVR responses

Problem: Authenticator Product: Office 365 for business Account type: Company or education account, as applicable Are you an administrator? Yes Is another administrator available? No Do you need a service request? Yes

Microsoft customer service phone numbers: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/customer-service-phone-numbers-c0389ade-5640-e588-8b0e-28de8afeb3f2

Once access is restored, create a second Global Administrator account and a separate emergency access account so that the organization is not locked out again if one device or authentication method becomes unavailable.
