    Hi juelz yarber,

I see that the AI answer has given some suggestions, and they're worth trying. I just want to add that since Microsoft Store is also showing Xbox live error, you may check whether your Microsoft account can actually authenticate with the services. Please check the account outside the Store:

    • Open a browser and go to https://account.microsoft.com/
    • Sign in using the same Microsoft account you use in Microsoft Store.
    • If you cannot sign in there either, use Microsoft's Sign-in Helper to troubleshoot.
    • If you can sign in normally, open Microsoft Store > click the profile picture in the top-right corner.
    • Select your account and choose Sign out > restart your PC > sign back into the Store.
    • If the error remains, reset it with wsreset.exe as mentioned in the AI answer
    • Wait for Microsoft Store to reopen, then try the download again.
    • You can also try to see if you can reinstall Gaming Services:
      • Open PowerShell as an administrator > run the following commands one by one:
      • get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers
      • start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN
      • Restart your PC and try logging into the Xbox app again.

Please also keep in mind that Windows 10 reached end of support in 2025. Because it is no longer a supported, compatibility or service-related issues may occur over time, and there may not be a specific fix available. If the problem continues, the practical long-term solution would be to upgrade to Windows 11 if your PC meets the requirements.

Try these steps in order on Windows 10:

    1. Sign in with a Microsoft account, not a local account.
      • Microsoft Store may not be available correctly if the device is using a local account.
    2. Reset the Microsoft Store cache.
      • Press Windows key + R.
      • Type wsreset.exe and select OK.
      • A blank Command Prompt window opens, then closes after about 10 seconds, and Microsoft Store opens automatically.
    3. Restart the PC.
      • If Windows was recently updated, a restart may be required before Microsoft Store apps can install.
    4. Update Microsoft Store.
      • Open Microsoft Store.
      • Select See more > Downloads and updates > Get updates.
    5. Repair or reset the affected apps.
      • Reset not only Microsoft Store, but also the Xbox-related app involved.
      • In Settings > Apps > Installed Apps, open the app’s advanced settings and use Reset.
    6. Sync the system clock.
      • Go to Settings > Time & Language > Date & Time.
      • Turn on Set time automatically.
      • Select Sync now.
    7. Clear stored Xbox credentials.
      • Open Credential Manager.
      • Select Windows Credentials.
      • Under Generic Credentials, remove entries that start with or contain Xbl.
      • Restart the PC and try signing in again.
    8. Reinstall the app from Microsoft Store library if needed.
      • In Microsoft Store, select See more > My Library.
      • Select the app and then Install.
    9. Run the Windows Store Apps troubleshooter.
      • Go to Start > Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
      • Select Windows Store apps > Run the troubleshooter.

If the Store opens but install buttons are missing or apps still do not appear, possible causes include:

    • the app is not available in the current country or region
    • family settings are hiding the app
    • the app is no longer available
    • the app is not compatible with the device
    • the PC is not authorized for Microsoft Store apps
