Yes. To get back to the old Outlook style, switch from new Outlook to classic Outlook.

    1. Open new Outlook for Windows.
    2. Look at the top-right corner for the toggle.
    3. Select the toggle and choose one of these:
      • Switch back to classic Outlook for a full switch back.
      • Use classic Outlook this time to open classic Outlook just for now.

    If the toggle is missing:

    1. Open the Windows Start Menu.
    2. Look for Outlook (classic) and open that app, not the one marked New.
    3. If classic Outlook is not installed, install it from the Microsoft Store or the download link in the support article.

If new Outlook keeps opening and the toggle still does not appear, there is a registry-based workaround:

    1. Open Registry Editor from the Start Menu.
    2. Go to: Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\Preferences
    3. Open UseNewOutlook.
    4. Set Value data to 0.
    5. Start Outlook (classic) again from the Start Menu.

Changing the registry can affect Outlook behavior if done incorrectly, so use that step only if the normal toggle is unavailable.

Did the AI Answer get you back to Classic Outlook? If not, try this:

    Download and install Classic Outlook.

Configure your PC to always use Classic Outlook.
