Hi Mike,
I would not run the ARM update suggested by Copilot. Microsoft’s current Azure Databricks documentation says an existing workspace is enabled for Unity Catalog by assigning it to a Unity Catalog metastore; it does not document manually setting unityCatalogEnabled through the Azure Resource Manager workspace properties.
If you are an Azure Databricks account admin, open the Databricks Account Console > Catalog > select the metastore > Workspaces > Assign to workspace, select the affected workspace, and choose Enable. The metastore and workspace must be in the same region.
If the workspace is already assigned to a metastore but Catalog Explorer/Unity Catalog features are still missing, I would open an Azure Databricks support request rather than manually modifying undocumented ARM properties. Include the workspace ID, region, metastore ID, and the Resource Graph output showing Unity Catalog as enabled.
Thank you, and feel free to respond back for more assistance.
